It is worth mentioning that the history of these temples is about 100 years old in Maluti village located in Shikaripada block of Dumka district. It is also known as the village of temples. Its renovation work was started in the year 2015 at a cost of Rs 4 crore. Even though many years have passed, the renovation work has not been completed. Baban Da, the priest of the temple, says that this is the temple of Maa Maulika Mallikha. Its fame has spread far and wide. Maluti temple is also called the elder sister of Tarapith temple present in West Bengal. It is famous not only in the country but also in foreign countries, but this temple is now becoming a victim of government neglect. There is a fear of people that this historical heritage may not be destroyed.

Amit Rakshit, Vice President of Dumka District BJP Mahila Morcha said that the Jharkhand government should get this temple renovated soon. It should be preserved and made a part of the tourism map so that its fame increases further. He said that over the years the Maluti temple was buzzing with tourists and devotees. Due to government neglect, the temple lost its charm and now only a few people come here. This affects the livelihood of local businessmen.
