Take action against illegal miners by running a special campaign: Dialogue associate Garhwa Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Pathak on Thursday in the auditorium of the Collectorate.

Dialogue associate, Garhwa: Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Pathak held a meeting of the District Level Mining Task Force in the auditorium of the Collectorate on Thursday. In this, the DC directed the District Mining Officer and the officers of the Task Force to take action against the people doing illegal mining by running a special campaign. During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner specially discussed the work to be done for the prevention of illegal mining and transportation.


He directed the District Mining Officer, all the sub-divisional officers and all the circle officers to take action against them in coordination with the police station to check illegal sand mining and transportation in the district. Also said that mining is completely banned from June 10 to October 15 under the NGT National Green Tribunal. He also directed all the circle officers to provide the list of sand ghats. So that those sand ghats can be operated legally and revenue can also be earned. Under this, the Sub-Divisional Officer Shri Banshidhar Nagar also made available a list of 30 sand ghats to the Deputy Commissioner.



In the course of the review, the Deputy Commissioner said that in the last meeting, it was told by the Member, State Pollution Control Board, Garhwa that illegal brick kilns are being operated by installing iron chimneys at many places including Amhar, Babhani, Ataula of Garhwa district. Whereas the use of iron chimney is strictly prohibited. In this context, the District Mining Officer was directed to demolish the operated iron chimney and take action against the operator under relevant rules. It was told by the representative of the Mining Department that the iron chimneys located at Amhar, Babhani, Ataula of Vishunpura have been demolished by the District Mining Officer. The Deputy Commissioner directed them to make available the list of actions taken by the Mining Department within seven days. He said that all the officials should drive for investigation and continue it. Action should be taken if found guilty during the investigation and ensure to provide his report in time

Khotre, Deputy Development Commissioner SN Upadhyay, Sub-Divisional Officer Garhwa Jiaul Ansari, Sub-Divisional Officer Ranka, Sub-Divisional Officer Shri Banshidhar Nagar, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Garhwa, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Ranka, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Shri Banshidhar Nagar, Circle Officer Garhwa, employees of Mining Department etc. were presently connected through a virtual medium.
