Poor children study in college despite being charged more fees
Dialogue thread, Panki (Palamu): AISA demonstrated on Monday in protest against the fee hike in Mazdoor Kisan College, Dandarkala, Panki. Under the leadership of AISA State Secretary Trilokinath, about four dozen students raised slogans against the college management. Trilokinath said that except for 10 per cent of students in Mazdoor Kisan College, all the workers, farmers, middle-class students take enrollment. In the absence of a government college, poor students enrol in the Mazdoor Kisan College for graduation. But here random fees are charged. Students troubled by the global pandemic are facing financial crises. Despite this, a conspiracy is being hatched for higher education and the bright future of the students by collecting fees by increasing the fees. The delegation of students met the principal and demanded that the fee be imposed on the students as per the prospectus. For Bonafide, a demand was made to stop collecting money from the students and to provide books from the library without delay. Besides Guddu Kumar, Shravan Kumar, Nitish Kumar, Sampat Kumar, many students including Prem Kumar, Dharmendra Kumar, Kaif, Ashok Kumar were present in the demonstration on the occasion.
Box: There are 24-degree colleges under NPU. In this, except for 4 colleges, we are charging Rs 250 less than the remaining 23 colleges. College workers have not received a salary for six months. The demands of the students will be placed in the meeting of the governing body.
