Jagran Correspondent, Latehar: District level Kharif workshop program was organized by the Department of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperation in the auditorium of Joint Agriculture Office. Deputy Commissioner Abu Imran, MLA Baidyanath Ram, MLA Manika Ramchandra Singh attended the program and duly inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. In the program, how the farmers should get the benefits of the schemes run by the government and how to make the farmers self-reliant by doing advanced farming was discussed. Deputy Commissioner Abu Imran said that by giving the benefits of schemes run by the Agriculture Department to the farmers, make them self-reliant. He said that the officers and employees of the Agriculture Department should remain alert to ensure that the farmers in the district do not face any problem in availing the benefits of the schemes.


He informed that the water sources of the district are being renovated to provide irrigation facilities to promote agriculture. The officers and employees of the Agriculture Department should note that there should not be any negligence in the implementation of the schemes being run in the interest of the farmers, no suitable beneficiary should be deprived of the benefit of the scheme, otherwise, action will be taken. It was also said by the Deputy Commissioner to get the benefit of KCC and loan related problems without delay. MLA Latehar Baidyanath Ram said that awareness among farmers is necessary to take advantage of the schemes run by the Agriculture Department.


He told the officers of the Agriculture Department to do the work of selection of beneficiaries and implementation of the scheme with complete transparency and directed them to make quality material available to the farmers. MLA Manika Ramchandra Singh said that due to proper implementation of schemes for the benefit of farmers, agricultural production should increase and employment should be created in the agricultural sector. purpose was highlighted.
