MP raised the issue of erosion from Son and Koel river in Parliament
Dialogue colleague, Garhwa: MP Vishnu Dayal Ram raised the matter related to soil erosion due to Koel and Son river at various places under Palamu parliamentary constituency in Lok Sabha and urged the government to take necessary steps regarding erosion. has done. In this regard, the MP said that from Mokhapi to Sundipur, village Jayanagara, Kharoundha, Gada, Gadakhurd, Kasnap of Kandi block of Garhwa district, from Koel river and from Sundipur to Srinagar, village Narayanpur, Baradih, Venkat, Gadakhurd, Sanpura, Narwarih, Kalagarha. , Baliyari, Buniyad Vigha, Sadari, Shivri, Dumarsota, Srinagar till the Sone river erosion is happening very fast. This erosion is happening for about 6 to 7 kilometres. Cultivable irrigated land is getting cut. Now housing has also started to be cut. People are being forced to migrate, in order to protect the irrigated agricultural land and houses from erosion, it has become necessary that the construction of the embankment should be done soon. In view of the problem of the people, this issue has been raised in the House and demand has been made from the government to get the embankment constructed. This work has to be done under the supervision of the Ganga Flood Water Control Commission Patna and they have to accept the proposal of this work. The officials of the Ganga Flood Water Commission had inspected the erosion area a few months ago and gave directions to the Executive Officer, Small Irrigation Garhwa. Following these guidelines, the Executive Engineer has sent the consolidated proposal to the Ganga Flood Water Commission. The MP has demanded from the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India to instruct the concerned officials to construct the embankment for the above work.
