Rain opened the pole for construction of engineering college built at a cost of 103 crores

Rajeev Ranjan, Nilambar Pitambarpur (Palamu): Even if big buildings are built at a cost of crores of rupees. However, if the building gets waterlogged due to rain and there is no drainage system, then the building becomes a headache. Something similar has been seen in the Nilambar Pitambarpur block of Palamu district. The Government Engineering College campus built at a cost of Rs 103 crore in Basaura village of Nilamber-Pitamber block along the Panki-Medininagar main road was submerged by rain. The rain has exposed the drain system of the college. The academic section building of the college was submerged in water due to rainwater.

Almost all the rooms on the ground floor of educational and some residential complexes are filled with 2 to 4 feet of water. The sensor, which is constructing the building, has started the work of removing water from the pump by sending its personnel in a hurry. Despite this, the water is so much that even after more than 24 hours on Sunday, the water has not come out. Now the question arises that no attention was paid to drainage in this building built at a cost of more than one billion rupees. In such a situation, the college management will take the help of pumps to draw water in every rainy season. In such a situation, the students and teachers studying in this college will have to reach the college by swimming or by boat during the rainy days. Let us inform you that the newly constructed engineering college has been built by Divyanshu Construction under the National Building Construction Corporation Limited. The construction work has been completed. Despite this, the department has not been handed over. Process continues. No arrangement has been made for the automatic withdrawal of rainwater from this building built on 7.5 acres of land. The obvious reason for this is that the building has been constructed far below the main road.
